I rarely ever do this, but the a few days ago, I went shopping just to shop. I usually know what I’m looking, however, I just felt like getting inspired by something. Do you ever not know what you’re looking for, but when you see it you know it? That’s exactly how I felt about these pants.
I made a post about formulating an outfit a few weeks ago. This is another formula that I typically go for when I’m looking for something a bit more sophisticated. At the same time, it can be dressy or casual. So the formula goes:
- Choose a top and bottom of your choice
- Pair it with a button-up shirt underneath
- Add a necklace
These items are the most basic and essential pieces in my closet. They’re not the most glamorous or standout pieces, however, one way or another, I need them to complete any outfit. They work together or separately with other pieces. They just make the life of a hijabi a lot easier.
If you’re like me and sometimes can’t seem to find anything to wear, then this series is for you. I will try to help you navigate the closet to pick outfits that look put together no matter the occasion. Simply follow the formula and you’ll end up with a decent look. My first go-to formula:
- Monochromatic top and bottom
- Add a cropped jacket or cardigan for a pop of color or edge
- Statement necklace with a turban hijab or just a simple hijab
I’ve been doing this for so long. It looks effortless and passes the test of time. The type of jacket or cardigan can be changed in accordance with what’s in at the moment.
